It\'s been many years since we have stayed in a Hilton Hotel, usually preferring smaller boutique hotels. However, we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, as although it is a large hotel, there was an intimacy about it that we really liked and we really loved the decor. The staff were all lovely, friendly and professional. We only stayed one night, so had the smallest room, but it was very well laid out, comfy bed and the shower was fantastic!
Our only negative comments were that the TV channel list in the room did not match up to the channels on the actual TV; the lighting system in the room was very confusing, with a dashboard without any instructions; and there were no tea and coffee facilities in our room. We do enjoy our morning cuppa so this was a bit disappointing. Also, our lunch on the day we left was very mediocre. We ordered tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, and the pasta wasn\'t cooked all the way through, it was barely warm with a very stingy amount of sauce. And of course the infamous 20 euro charge for the parking. The hotel is out of town, so you have no choice but to park there and this charge is really annoying and unnecessary.
However, the breakfast was superb, so much choice and great options to choose from. The Spa and pool area were very smart and the pool nice and warm. We also eat dinner in the hotel, and the restaurant was really nice with a brilliant view of the mountains. We would definitely come back again, and stay longer to enjoy the beautiful scenery and great walks in the area.
